Thanks, There are 2 versions of the Adaptec 2940. In the later version, they changed the BIOS rev and SCSI sense codes. BSDI 2.1 only detects the original earlier version and will not see the new one. You aparently have the later version of the card. BSDI does have a new install boot disk and kernel patch to fix this problem. Contact BSDI tech support for more info and location.
