N. Duque) Message-ID: <4kbhip$7dq@cnn.nas.nasa.gov> NNTP-Posting-Host: win237.nas.nasa.gov My ISP, slip.net in San Francisco, recently switched from SunOS to Solaris. When they did I could no longer get allocated an IP. I get ppp connected but then get the message to console: unknown protocol (80fd) then SIGHUP. I'm using runpppd, chat, dial.isp, and options. The scripts all work for my ppp connection and work but like I said it now fails with my ISP. Also, I noticed that my ISP uses a LAP protocol. Does anyone have some clues on what my problem maybe ? cheers, e.
