My employer is running an old VAX under BSD4.2 UNIX, and the machine did not switch over to CDT from CST Sunday night like it ought... I thought I remembered hearing something about the start/stop dates for Daylight Savings having changed sometime over the past 15 years. Is this why the machine didn't change? If so, what were the old on/off dates for DST? Is there a way to easily fix this... the sources are no longer online, but if it were easy enough, I might venture to try a fix. I tried looking at the libc sources from FreeBSD to get a handle on the situation, but it is unbelievably dense code for such a simple thing as retrieving the date/time. Besides, I'm sure all this stuff has changed between 4.2 and 4.4 Lite. Any input would be greatly appreciated.
