Date: 8 Apr 1996 22:15:34 -0400 Organization: HookUp Communication Corporation, Oakville, Ontario, CANADA Lines: 18 Message-ID: <4kch86$bp3@noc.tor.hookup.net> Okay, FreeBSD can support TCP/IP over the parallel port. I understand that a Laplink cable is all that's required for hardware. Now, I want to connect this to my other system, which is running Win95, and make a wee network at home. So, the question in, does anyone know of a client for Win95 that can talk to FreeBSD over such a configuration? Basically, I want to transfer files back and forth, but ultimately, it would be nice to have both of them capable of net surfing at the same time over the one modem. Any pointers appreciated. I realize this isn't really the right group for this question, but I figure that I'll get a better answer here than in the "correct" place... I've been through the FAQ and the news archive at the Web site and didn't see this topic covered. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Greg Schmidt, Software Engineer, Mytec Technologies (http://www.mytec.com) gschmidt@hookup.net gregs@trawna.UUCP http://www.hookup.net/~gschmidt/
