I run it on an (older) DeskPro 486/66 just fine. The biggest problem is with the video, since Compaq likes to put in Matrox video cards. And, No, I'm not injecting myself into the "great Matrox debate of '96"! :-) :-) :-) So, I can only run X in 800x600x16 mode. I don't know if you the audio will work for you or not. I never could get the audio support in mine to work (even under Windows). It's some weird proprietary stuff (not even ESS). So, I picked up a used SB-Pro card for $10 and that works great.
