I have successfully installed Freebsd on an old hard drive of mine. I basically don't know anything about it, and I just have been installing it out of curiosity, and I got this far more out of common sense then out of knowledge. But now I have the problem that I don't seem to be able to login in the right kind of way... I Login as 'root' I give my password, BSD welcomes me and asks me about a terminal type (???), and another user name , and password , which I never installed. Whatever I try to type here to fill in the username (with somekind of su (???) command,) it rejects me... Further questions are, where can I find a list of commands with the description of what they do? How can I use my pcmcia-modem???... I hope that someone will point me out to the address of a good faq that covers these things (i found one faq on the www, which seemed to be what I am looking for, but it comes down to me too flaky to be usefull), or that someone can tell me how to login properly and how to use some help file or so... I apologize for asking bottomline-questions like this, but this seemed to be the only hope left...
