Using the ccd (concatenated disk driver), you can stipe/RAID1 several partitions or disks into a single logical volume. There are ccd versions for FreeBSD 2.1R and 2.2-current. I'm trying out the 2.2-current right now on a news server with 3 4GB SCSI-Wide drives combined together. So far, it has been pretty quick, but a little bit unstable. If it doesn't make it through the night tonight, I'm going to rebuild with 2.1R instead. Pete Kruckenberg pete@inquo.net
