There may be something wrong/omitted in the floppy driver with 2.1, not
necessarily a problem with your hardware.  IRQ 6 is the floppy interrupt, and
your machine may be reporting the insertion or removal of a disk or the disk's
parameters, and 2.1 may not recognize the cause or nature of the interrupt
request.
