Their open licensing with Motorolla, Umax, Acorn, and now IBM is looking seriously (expect an announcement shortly) has people just worried to death over the Mac platform... maybe thats why so many professionals (application developers) are jumping on board and apple is signing up more and more developers. > any idiot want to purchase a system that may not be supported within > another year or two? I ask that to people about Win95 all the time. > Besides, the market always determines what > floats and what sinks. The "Mac" is clearly sinking and continues to > loose market share monthly. Actually they are growing phenomenally. By themselves Apple has gone from 0% market-share for Macs in 83 - to 23 MILLION computers+, and 14% of the U.S. marketshare (more if you look at software sales). Now add in that apple is open licensing and GADS! Imagine the possibilities of a superior OS at a superior price - without the ignorant being able to claim single-source or eminent demise of apple. But don't let facts get in the way of your delusions... -- David K. Every | MacKiDo Warrior - Sr. Software Engineer | The Path to the Power of Macintosh! Jostens Learning Corp. |
