If my system has been up for more than a few minutes and
needs to be rebooted then freebsd 2.1.0R can't find the
scsi controller (an adaptec 1540b w/ 3.10 (1988) bios)
when it is checking the ah devices.

I presume that the problem with the card has something
to do with heat because after the machine cools for a
while it will boot OK again, but I would like for some-
one to explain why the bios can find the card, and the
freebsd boot sequence begin, yet as it is checking the
devices it cannot find the very card where it got its
bootstrap load from. Anyone have an explaination of
any of this?
