Only one additional hint: the `i' protocol (oh well, HDB UUCP users aren't even bothered by it :-) can cause occasional SIGFPE's (due to an integer divide by zero) when transfering large files simultan- eously in both directions. This is caused by a division by the tty baudrate (ick!). I hope they will resolve it in a further release. (People who are bothered by it can get a patch from me.) Apart from this, i still think UUCP is the only really working batch transmission protocol, and as such the ideal solution for part-time connections, even when running over TCP. Taylor UUCP has no problems speaking to BSD's uucpd, btw. -- J"org Wunsch Unix support engineer joerg_wunsch@interface-business.de http://www.interface-business.de/~j
