This is Suns newest and BEST OS for the Intel platform. This version came out just a few months ago and is a complete UNIX operating system for the X86 platform. Better than Linux or any of the freeware OS's. In my opinion, much better than SCO too . The Application Server edition has a complete set of tools for the system administrator, which includes quite a few Solstice packages also. There are 5 CD's in the package total. Version 2.5 has the Common Desktop Enviroment (CDE) which makes it a whole lot easier to use. Direct from Sun, the 2.5 costs $1200 + and I am asking for $800 new in the shtink wrapped box. It has never been opened, used or registered. I am also willing to take trades. You name it, I'll think about it. Looking for a 3+ gig hard drive, Sparc machine ( IPC, IPX etc ), 4MM or 8MM backup tape drive, cd rom burner. Please feel free to ask any questions.
