Probably cause there's 5 times > more PC's out there. PCs are serviced 50 times more than Macs. I've never serviced my Mac in the three years I've owned it, and it's a low end mac. No one I know who has a mac has ever had it serviced. Infact here's a story you might find interesting. My frined owns a real out of date, shit for innards macintosh. This thing is like 4-5 years old, low hard drive, 4 megs of RAM, totally outdated, even more so than mine. Last year he went on vacation, when he got back he found that his roof had developed a leak, in the computer room. Water has been pouring directly over the computer for three days. The whole table was water-logged, the computer was SOAKED. Obviously the Mac had had it. He called some techincal people or insurance or something like that, and it turned out that if he brought the wasted Mac in he could get a brand new one (not top of the line) in it's place. He let the Mac sit overnight, and when he went to go get it in the morning to exchange, he noticed something wrong with it. The damn thing worked. He's been using it for over a year now, and except for the usual cra[ with an old computer, it runs normally. Try water logging a PC for 3 days and booiting it up. -- Avi Selk Historical Landmark #9678023 Windows 95: Five years ago, corporate software giant, Microsoft, spent millions of dollars, and put a team of hundreds of highly specialized programmers on an extensive and highly ambitious project to find another name for the Apple Menu.
