Sorry for following up to my own post, but I've decided not to get NetBSD, nor
FreeBSD, because they don't support my tape drive.  Linux, on the other hand,
does support ftape drives (QIC-40 and QIC-80, with or without a card), and
NetBSD's install text does indicate that the "ongoing Linux work should prove
useful in the future."
