I am a layman on Linux system. Recently, I bought Infomagic Linux CD pack (November 95) and tried to install it. When I
start and the bootkernel runs, it can't detect my controller, I have tried to use both windows and dos to make boot and
root disk (even choose "SCSI"), it also can't detect it. I tried to mount the controller at LILO: I type "mount
ata1542=0X130" at "Boot:" prompt, the system can detect it, but the system halted when I inserted root disk. It displays
"Kernel panic: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on 02:1c , Have someone kindly to tell me how can I solve this problem?

        Thank you!
