Withrow Associates Lines: 13 Message-ID: <316E5601.41C67EA6@rwwa.com> NNTP-Posting-Host: rwwa.com Mime-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit X-Mailer: Mozilla 2.0 (X11; I; FreeBSD 2.1.0-RELEASE i386) I've noticed an annoying problem with both Xfree and Xinside, related to VT switching. If I am unlucky and pick exactly the wrong time to switch VTs, I can get the system into a state where it henceforth refuses to switch VTs forevermore. This usually happens if you switch to, say, the console VT right after logging out of an XDM managed X session, and while the X server is re-cycling itself. All further attempts to switch VTs just gives you a rather tart little ``beep''. The only sulution is a re-boot. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Robert Withrow, Tel: +1 617 592 8935, Net: witr@rwwa.COM
