This is a perversion of networking design and more broadly of technical autonomy of the worst order. IPv6 is to be sacrificed on the altar of the Christian Coalition's repressive psychosis. (If the DoJ were programmers, I'd expect them to be the kind of wankers who don't like layering cause you get better performance if you write everything in one huge module in assembler.) Put this slop at the higher layers if it has to be there, where apps can make a mess in their own little corner without crapping on everyone's lawn. This one is the U.S. Congress, or rather the conservatives in and outside of it, crapping on _our_ lawn. I suggest they need a cork.
