I was wondering if someone out there would be familiar enough with FreeBSD and Solaris to tell me how to do something.

I want to automount some directories that i use for ftpaccts. I am used to using solaris and would do it like this...

make an entry in /etc/auto_master that contained the line:

/opt/ftpaccts/fakedir	hostname:/data/realdir

then exec automount

then whenever someone cd'd to /opt/ftpaccts/fakedir they would see the contents of /data/realdir but when no one was in ./fakedir it would contain nothing and not be mounted.

What is the procedure for doing this with amd on FreeBSD ?

Thanks in advance for your help.
