I am having a problem with the passwd command. When I log in to X an do a
passwd it works, But if I su to another(non-root) user then run the passwd
program the following error is shown:
passwd: Permission denied
Why am I getting this error, passwd is setuid root so permissions should not
be a problem. Also if the users login as them selves(instead of su) then
passwd works. Is there a reason for this is this a legitimate feature or a
unknown "feature", and is there a fix?
TIA
