The *only* thing that amazes me about it is that Microsoft isn't releasing Windows 1Q '96, Windows March 96, Windows This Tuesday, etc. But it's a <bad product>. (Although I have heard, with all PnP equipment and all W95 apps, it's not too bad. Wouldn't know, myself. Have lots of legacy hard- and software that I *need*.) Un*x isn't a bad product, but the install and learning curves are just so steep that the spoonfed user of the '90s (or '95s?) will not deal with it well. I do not know how to streamline these processes without sacrificing the astounding flexibility that Un*x offers. I wish I did; then I would own the world. It seems to me that the computing world is forking at this point: those who know little about computers and like it that way are W95 oriented. Those of us who like using the computer for more than office work and games are Linux oriented. So be it. Can you bridge the gap? Fame and riches await.... yrs, shaniac
