I did not say that Linux is inept.  WinNT (esp server) isn't either.
The premise was that marketing is the only thing that matters... And
I responded that it does make a difference if an OS is dog slow or
inept.  Windows is dog slow and a bit inept....  NT isn't.  In relative
terms it might be SLOWER than say FreeBSD or even Linux -- but it isn't
that bad (I use it also.)  Windows is dying...  NT isn't...

look at the licenses -- determine which one fits your 'agenda' or values best.
The BSD license is very simple, and people are starting to remove item's
3&4 in the license terms...  This is a result of some discussions including
comments from Stallman, among others.
