Well, `synch mark error' -- : perhaps it's running too hot? : You can try running ``scsi -f /dev/rsd0.ctl -e -m 1'', and turn on : automagic sector reallocation (top couple of lines in the editor). Unless someone threw a blanket over my case that drive is the coolest drive I've ever used. It's well ventilated, even cool to the touch. Sector reallocation was and _is_ on! Someone suggested that it might be my memory that I recently replaced. I'm going to change that back and see if it helps. Thanks, Chris
