Can anyone help me get Java running on my FreeBSD system? I've installed
the Netscape 3 beta as well as the JDK and the kaffe compiler. Using
javac_netscape as my compiler, I was able to compile a small "Hello, World"
application successfully, but kaffe refused to run the resulting .class
file. Most commonly, kaffe returns an error of "No library path set.
Failed to catch exception", even though I did create the CLASSPATH,
KAFFEHOME, and LD_LIBRARY environment variables it requests. Kaffe always
fails when trying to compile a .java file.

Netscape refuses to run any Java code at all, whether I compiled it myself
or downloaded it over the Web. In the case of Web pages, it creates a
blank area where the applet should go, but nothing ever appears.

What am I doing wrong? Please respond in the newsgroup, as my mail
isn't working reliably yet.

Thanks in advance.
