Well, the following works fine for me: embalaz|LaserJet IIIsi:\ :rm=uvm-gen.emba.uvm.edu:rp=embalaz:sd=/var/spool/lpd/embalaz: drwxr-xr-x 2 root wheel 512 Oct 10 14:48 /var/spool/lpd/embalaz/ >lpr: connect: No such file or directory >jobs queued, but cannot start daemon. This means that lpr is unable to connect to the printer socket in /var/run/printer. Is it there? If not, then you need to see why lpd is dying. Check your syslog. -GAWollman -- Garrett A.
