There is a couble of extentions to samba; Smbclient that should allow you to share a PC-share to an UNIX-box and then SmbTar that is a shell-script for backing up these shares. (I'am saying _should_ because I have not done it myself.., to use Samba for connecting PCs to an UNIX box is no problem) Hope this helps.
