The linux S3 server is available from ftp.robots.ox.ac.uk, in the directory
/usr/linux/S3, I annouced this a few days ago in the X11 mailing list, it
really is only Alpha level software, and I have only run it on the Astix
GraphicsEngine. It appears to be robust, but still has a few graphics bugs
and performance is pretty poor (apart from rectangle drawing which is about
10* faster than my ET4000 card :-).

If you have a Orchid or Astix S3 card, and are interested in helping develop
this server then mail me, and pick up the server. If you don't have time/
interest then wait a while, I would expect a lot of changes over the next
few weeks.
