However very soon a BSDI driver will be available for the DPT SmartRAID controller which will facilitate a true bus e.g. PCI based solution. See: http://www.dpt.com/sraid.html We are successfully beta testing the PCI version with BSDI 2.1 right now, but I wouldn't be surprised if the driver were to be included in the next release of BSDI which would enable the RAID controller to be auto detected on install. This would IMO be the preferred solution.
