I once had this same problem when mounting a Linux partition from a NetBSD
box.  I *think* (I can't be sure - it was a while ago) that the
/etc/exports file on the Linux box was slightly wrong (the machine name
was wrong?), edit this and retry.  You'll need to kill and rerun the mount
and NFS daemons as they don't respond to a kill -HUP under Linux.
