It may be to do with the 2.1 CDROM based handbook does not indicate the 815 is supported but the homepage version does. When boting from the installation floppy I get various errors, although the leds on the devices indicate activity, the errors of the kind: ncr0: command failure (6 ff) ncr0: SCSI phase error fixup CCB Address mismatch ncr0: handshake timeout ncr0: Error (80: 100) (e-aa-........ This pattern repeats many times, if I try to do an install from the menu it fails because no hard disk was found. I have tried variations on the PCI (SIS based) setup to the same end. If the problem is down to the 815 support being post installation floppy do I have to wait for 2.1x or 2.2? :-( The SCSI devices are a Micropolis 4221 drive on ID0, a Quantum 540S drive on ID1, a Toshiba 4401 CDROM on ID4 and an Archive Viper tape on ID6. I have an OS/2 Warp Connect partition which works fine with this SCSI setup. TIA, Paul. paulg@tpc.bt.co.uk
