Hi there,

I recently got hold of an el-cheapo IO card, as I want an extra few serial
ports. So I jumpered my original card to have its serial ports as COM3 and
COM4 (ie 2e8 and 3e8), and changed the IRQs to 5 and 9.

So, I disabled all but the serial ports on the new IO card, and stuck it in
the machine with its default settings (com1/2 IRQ 3/4). I compiled a kernel
with support for COM3/4 and off I went.

The BIOS recognises the extra ports, but FreeBSD comes back with "sio2 not
found at 2e8" (or whatever the correct address for COM3 is).

Windows 95 "sort of" recognises the ports, but fails to dial out on a modem
connected to COM4.

Any ideas?
