Yes, I have one on my system, and it works just fine.

The "known rogue" message means that the driver knows
about certain "quirks" with this drive, and will
take the appropriate measures to ensure that
it accesses the drive correctly.

I'm using my Archive 2150S with an Adaptect 2842VL SCSI
controller, and it is the same driver that the 2742 uses.
Have you gone through the usual SCSI problem checklist?

- Check the cables
- Check for proper device termination on both
  ends of the SCSI chain
- Check SCSI ids
- If you have SCSIselect on your card (control-a on
boot up), try setting the most conservitive settings
  for that device.
- Check the cables and termination again

The 27/284x driver has gone through a lot of development
since 2.1 was released. You might try running 2.1-STABLE
instead and see if that makes the problem go away.
