Well, after hacking around this weekend I finally figured out how to boot
FreeBSD 2.1.0-RELEASE from the Windows NT boot loader. In addition, I've
hacked the boot code so that it's possible to load the OS from a second
hard drive!
My first pass at the documentation for this procedure is available as:

WARNING: You follow the procedure at your own risk! I believe that it is
correct, but so far no one but me has done it. YOU are the guinea pig!
If you blow your system away, I'm not responsible and I probably won't be
able to help you recover it. Consider yourself warned...
