I am now thoroughly confused!

I am running 2.2 SNAP. Supposedly 2.1.1 will be the next release. Will I
be upgrading to go to 2.1.1 or going backwards since 2.1.1 will be newer
than 2.2 SNAP?

Geez... The system is complex enough with current, stable, SNAP, release,
etc.... (I still don't know the difference between stable and release..)

cyall and thanks,
