This is what I do on a 386 which has a disk drive on the first IDE card and a CD-ROM drive (Mitsumi FX 600) on a second IDE card. A direct FreeBSD boot always hangs, but once I boot MS-DOS fsdboot.exe works just fine, and after the boot FreeBSD happily recognizes the CD-ROM drive. -- Rahul Dhesi <dhesi@rahul.net> "please ignore Dhesi" -- Mark Crispin <mrc@CAC.Washington.EDU>
