I am dialing in to a BSD 2.0.1 machine (100 MHz Pentium) using
PPP. The BSD host has a 28.8 Sportster modem, while I am using
a 14.4.

My resulting connection ends up at 9600 baud, probably due to
the following /etc/gettytab script, called by /etc/ttys for
all dialin ports:

(begin excerpt)
bbs.115200:\
        :im=\r\n\r\nBBS Server (%h)\r\n\r\nLogin (...)\r\n:\

(end excerpt)

This method is safe for a variety of bulletin board users, but
I would like to set at least one port up for faster PPP access.
(And according to the above, when I start dialing in with a 28.8,
I'll still only get 19.2!).

Can anyone help me set one port up properly? Perhaps there's
a way to let ppp handle it, without /etc/ttys?
