(Bruce Evans' original subject when > posting it to the mailing lists was: ``booting from sd5 when wd3 is > also installed'' :-) This is all fine and good as I read Bruce Evans' article and this looks as if this just might work. I know this because no matter what I type at the boot prompt, it comes up with trying to mount sd0 or sd2. I need it to mount sd1... and then I'm in business. However, in response, there is only 1 big problem. I am definately a newbie to the FreeBSD, so bear with my question (no flames, please!). It appears as though this is a need for a recompile on the boot code. Well, if I can't get FreeBSD to boot, how can I recompile? Is there a place where I can get a boot.flp with this new code on it? Any direction that you can point would help as this is probably it. Thanks for all your help, Jeff Genender jgenend@ibm.net
