There is an assumption in the "probe" code of specific (type 2 from the MP spec, from memory) information, which Intel and ASUS boards both implement (INtel boards implement all 3). It is expected that all boards compliant with the Intel Version 1.1 and above Multiprocessing Specification, will eventually be supported. This means ~1.5 additional pieces of probe-code.
