We can discuss it there. No. When OpenVMS came out, with its POSIX shell and libraries, we attempted to take advantage of this and port our vertical market application to VMS. Not only was this basically impossible, due to the lack of functionality in the shell, but in addition it was impossible to write stubs to call the VMS runtime to make up for its shortcomings because you couldn't *do* that from POSIX applications!
