If you really only installed on the second disk, the only thing that FreeBSD would have done to the first drive is install a new master boot record for the boot manager, which is optional. This is not serious or irreversable dammage. (one method is to boot from a dos floppy and fdisk /mbr) >Apparently, FreeBSD is not compatable with the BIOS translation of ALL >Adaptec SCSI cards. Oh really? Care to explain how my Adaptec SCSI card work with DOS, OS/2 and FreeBSD? >Excuse the above, but I'm quite pissed right now, proabaly because of a >moronic bug in the retarded Label utility. I learned long ago that because of the moronic PC architecture, a backup is more or less manditory before any partitioning or formatting activities. Just look around usenet and you will find that other OS's, and Win95 in particular are just as adetpt at spamming your system. -john == jfieber@indiana.edu =========================================== == http://fallout.campusview.indiana.edu/~jfieber ================
