Nobody outside of BSDi, that is.  The NDA I signed in order to do the
Xircom PE III driver prevents me from telling you anything about how
the card works, and my professional obligations to BSDi keep me from
telling you my true opinion of the innards I've seen.  But I feel
quite safe legally and professionally in saying that the D-Link, for
which Linux and FreeBSD drivers are available, will work just as well
if you have a laptop without PCMCIA.  If your laptop supports PCMCIA
you are well advised to use a PCCARD ethernet board, for reasons of
speed and geometry if nothing else.
