GPL does encumber software in ways very different than BSD, or public domain software. Please check with your legal dept if you intend on redistributing or using GPLed (or any other "free" software.) Do NOT accept lay opinions, or "pseudo-advice" over the net. Those people do not necessarily have your best interests at heart. John
