The official FreeBSD 2.1.0R distribution does not support PCMCIA SCSI card and PCMCIA hotplugging. But 2.1.0R has PCMCIA package like pcmcia-cs of Linux. You can install FreeBSD 2.1.0R with various PCMCIA cards (includes PCMCIA SlimSCSI w/ CD-ROM) and using these card with hotplug support.
