This may seem like a simple question, but before I go off and spend a lots of
money...

I have a 90MHz pentium news server and would like to split the I/O to the
disks across 2 adaptec PCI 2940 controllers and add more disks to further
split up the I/O. I have a PCI SCSI in the host going to 2 3GB hard disks
now. Can I add a second PCI controller? What is it called when I
reconfigure the kernel, then again do I have to?

I was also told to take the tape drive off these controlers, and I would like
to add a CD-ROM eventually. Could I also add an adaptec 1540 controller for
CD-ROM and Tape with the two PCI SCSI controllers in the same system?

Thanks in advance,

Michael Peer
