If the port's been upgraded, you can just download the
.../ports/net/lynx bit of the ports tree and get the Makefile to sort
the rest out. If it hasn't, perhaps a polite note to the maintainer
might be in order.

You could also consider subscribing to the ports mailing list, to keep
an eye on any other interesting apps that are being added or upgraded.
