Thanks alot for your reply.  With the help of your config file I
have been able to get X-Windows up on my notebook, but it still
isn't right.  The picture is about 3/4" low, wrapping from the
bottom to the top.  One of the things I noticed is that I have to
have my display in what appears to be 800x600 mode (via the keyboard
Font function key) for it to not go completely out of vertical
synch.  Unfortunately, the user's manual that came with my computer
doesn't mention the 800x600 display that I have, but only its
640x480 predecesor.  I am, however, making progress and expect that
I'm not too far from success now.
