I don't get a crash, per se, I get a reboot after several failures to write lock file. It was coming right back up (not doing *anything* right now, tried to reconfigure for two filesystems and swap space, as per the FAQ, and haven't had *any* luck) without doing a fsck, either. Wierd. Maybe I need to find a cheap RLL controller, to get things set up easier... -- Gary Heston SCI Systems, Inc. gary@sci34hub.sci.com site admin The Chairman of the Board and the CFO speak for SCI.
