However, if you *don't* create /var/games, rogue has problems with
that--it wants to write scores in there (as well as a lockfile), and
gives errors if it can't. 

I don't get a crash, per se, I get a reboot after several failures to
write lock file. It was coming right back up (not doing *anything* right
now, tried to reconfigure for two filesystems and swap space, as per the
FAQ, and haven't had *any* luck) without doing a fsck, either. Wierd.

Maybe I need to find a cheap RLL controller, to get things set up easier...
