Actually, this is the `wds' driver and it's in LINT, we just never stuck it in GENERIC. I've actually fielded a couple of mails from anguished WD7000 owners who couldn't install FreeBSD, and at the time I was more interested in keeping GENERIC as unbloated as possible due to boot floppy space limitations and told them that they were out of luck. However, now that boot floppies are getting easier to build, perhaps we can generate a couple of custom ones for people come next release time. -- - Jordan Hubbard President, FreeBSD Project
