The primary  file you wan't to  modify is /etc/sysconfig. To stop exporting
filesystems,  just  "rm" /etc/exports if   it exists. Kill   mountd and the
nfsiod/nfsd daemons.

Rip out the "options  NFS" from your  kernel configuration file if you have
it and recompile.

Of course. PPP and NFS are two separates things.
