According to the README, there is a problem with the current mvme147
implementation in that the SCSI drivers do not work, so only a diskless
installation will work, using a separate NFS file server.

The same problem appears to affect both NetBSD and FreeBSD.
Does anyone know of any progress on this one ?.

I have an mvme147 machine which has a dead hard disk, hence no OS, which I
would like to get running. Disk space is limited on my (Linux 486) server
so it's a case of either buying a scsi disk for the motorola or upgrading
my server. In reality the reason for using the mvme machine is to offload
some disk intensive stuff off of my server, so the NFS option is not
really going to be a real solution for me.

TIA,
