Hi 386BSD (and X) users !

Now, that I had success in compiling X11R5 (and XFree86) and running the
X386mono server (thanks for your work, guys), I have some questions:

I have a MegaEva (original TsengLabs) ET4000 card and Nanao (Eizo) F550i
monitor. I would like to get an Xconfig entry for this combo.
After reading in comp.os.linux about destroying a monitor (and I did the
same with the setup for MS-Windows 3.1, too :-( ) I am not very much in
experimenting with too many settings ...

In addition, I have a S3 EISA board which I will use with the same monitor
as soon as the S3 server is available (thanks Amancio).
If somebody has an entry for this, too, better still.
In the modeDB.txt file were just entries for the older Nanao/Eizo monitors
and for one of the more expensive newer (Txxx) one, but no entry for the F550i.

Now I am using the X386mono server on this board in 640x480 resolution
(virtual 800x600).
Can I use the real 800x600 mode with the X386mono server ?
I am not sure for this. The 800x600 mode should not require bank switching
of the Video RAM. However, OTOH, I guess, that the clock freq. must be
set for this mode somehow and if it can't done the standard way or is
not supported by the server, it won't work.
Has somebody used the mono server in the 800x600 (real display) mode and
on which board ?

If there is interest, I'll summarize to the net.

Thanks for any replies,

Norbert.
